Are you ready for season 3 of Gossip Girl? Here is some news! Hilary Duff will be joining the cast for a multi-episode arc, she is set to play Olivia Burke. According to CW series spokeswomen, Melissa Burton; Hilary's character Olivia is a movie star who enrolls at New York University in search of a "traditional college experience". She will end up rooming with Vanessa portrayed by Jessica Szohr. Also her character will be a new love interest for aspiring novelist Dan Humfrey portrayed by Penn Badley. Hilary Duff will begin appearing on Gossip Girl Season 3 on October 5th. The Season premiere is on September 14th.
